Every cancer journey comes with challenges that extend beyond medical treatment. From transportation and everyday expenses to emotional support, many patients and families need additional resources while focusing on recovery.

On Saturday, September 26, the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso invites the community to help make a difference by participating in ¡Salud! To Better Health, a 5K run/walk benefiting the Foundation’s Sobreviviendo el Cáncer program.

Supporting Patients Beyond Treatment

The Sobreviviendo el Cáncer program provides assistance to local patients who are actively undergoing cancer treatment. Funds raised through the event help ease some of the financial and personal challenges that often accompany a cancer diagnosis, allowing patients to focus on what matters most: their health.

Every registration helps support members of the El Paso community as they navigate treatment and recovery.

An Event for the Whole Community

It doesn’t matter your level of experience or if you want to walk rather than run. ¡Salud! To Better Health welcomes participants of all ages.

This year’s event will feature:

  • A competitive 5K run
  • A one-mile walk
  • A Kids Dash
  • Finisher medals for all participants
  • Awards for the top overall male and female runners and age-group winners
  • A Largest Team Trophy for community groups and organizations

Friends, families, coworkers, and local organizations are encouraged to participate together and help raise awareness while supporting an important cause.
