Recovery after a stroke can involve more than medical treatment: rehabilitation, follow-up care, changes at home, and questions about what comes next can all become part of the process. Having access to information and people who understand that process can be helpful along the way.
That’s the focus of Stroke Support Summit 2026: Connected in Recovery, a free community event hosted by University Medical Center on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Starlight Event Center in El Paso.
The summit will bring together stroke survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members for an afternoon of education, personal stories, and resources.
Learning From Stroke Care Experts
Throughout the event, healthcare professionals will discuss stroke prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery. These presentations will allow attendees to learn more about current approaches to stroke care and what recovery can look like after leaving the hospital.
The summit will also include testimonials from stroke survivors and families, offering personal perspectives on the recovery process.
