As student-athletes prepare to return to practices, tryouts, and competitions, one important item should be on every back-to-school checklist: a sports physical.
To help families get ready for the upcoming school year, University Medical Center of El Paso is offering sports physicals for just $10 at select community clinics through August 15.
Why Sports Physicals Matter
A sports physical helps determine whether a student is healthy enough to safely participate in athletic activities. During the visit, a healthcare provider reviews the student’s medical history, checks vital signs, evaluates overall health, and identifies any conditions that may require additional attention before the season begins.
Completing a sports physical before practices start can help families avoid last-minute scheduling and ensure students are ready to participate when school begins.

- UMC East Clinic
- UMC West Clinic
- UMC Ysleta Clinic
- UMC Fabens Clinic
- UMC Mobile Health Unit (locations vary)
