UMC’s Chest Pain Center Earns National Accreditation for Lifesaving Heart Care

UMC Staff

This National Heart Month — and throughout the year — University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is reminding the community of the importance of heart health and the critical care available right here at home.

UMC’s Chest Pain Center is accredited by the American College of Cardiology, a national organization that evaluates hospitals for their ability to quickly and effectively treat patients who arrive with chest pain or other symptoms of a heart attack. Accreditation means that UMC has met rigorous standards for heart care and follows established protocols that improve outcomes and save lives.

By being an accredited Chest Pain Center, UMC demonstrates its readiness to deliver rapid diagnosis and treatment for cardiac events. Time is crucial during a heart emergency, and this recognition signals to the community that UMC has the trained staff, specialized equipment, and procedures in place to respond when seconds matter most.

Whether it’s National Heart Month or any other time of year, UMC encourages everyone to stay proactive about their heart health. And when urgent care is needed, you can trust that your heart is in expert hands at UMC.
