How to Access Your UMC Patient Portal: A Step-by-Step Guide to Lab Results & Appointments

Managing your health has never been easier! With MyHealthEP, the patient portal for University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC), you can securely access your medical records, lab results, and appointment information anytime, anywhere, right from your computer or mobile device.

Why Use MyHealthEP?

The MyHealthEP Patient Portal is designed to make your healthcare experience simple and convenient. Through the portal, you can:

  • View your personal information, insurance details, and emergency contacts
  • Access lab results, including COVID tests, radiology, microbiology, and pathology
  • Refill prescriptions at any UMC Pharmacy via the RX365 mobile app
  • Track your medical history, including allergies, procedures, immunizations, and medications
  • View clinical documents such as consultation notes, discharge summaries, Continuity of Care (CCD), and Transition of Care (TOC) documents
  • Securely connect certain health management apps, like fitness and dietary trackers, to your health record

The portal is accessible 24/7, with Spanish translation available. For technical assistance, call 877-621-8014. Support is available in English 24/7 and Spanish Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. MT.

Who Can Enroll?

Self-enrollment is available for UMC of El Paso, UMC Clinics, and EPCH patients 18 years and older who do not already have portal access. To enroll, you must:

  • Have had a visit to UMC of El Paso, UMC Clinics, or EPCH
  • Enter your name exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID
  • Not be previously enrolled in MyHealthEP

If you manage another person’s health, such as a minor child, speak with their healthcare provider for access. Caregivers and guardians currently cannot self-enroll.

How to Get Started

  • In-person enrollment: Ask registration staff during your next UMC visit to start your portal account, setup takes less than five minutes.
  • Online self-enrollment: Visit tinyurl.com/MyHealthEP to create your account.

Once enrolled, you will receive an email invitation. Follow the instructions to set up your account and choose a security question for added protection.

Tips for Using MyHealthEP

Lab Results

Most common lab test results will be viewable via MyHealthEP, including laboratory tests, COVID tests, radiology, microbiology and pathology results. Some sensitive results are not currently available, including STD screenings, HIV, certain cancer markers, drugs and alcohol, and pregnancy-related results.

  • Lab results are delivered as soon as they become available.
  • Radiology and pathology results may take up to 96 hours before appearing in the portal.
  • Microbiology and COVID results are delivered as soon as available.

Appointments

  • Schedule, view, and manage your upcoming appointments directly in the portal.
  • Receive reminders and notifications so you never miss a visit.
  • Quickly check your provider, date, and location details in one convenient place.

Other Tips

  • Keep your information up-to-date, including contact details and insurance information.
  • Download the HealtheLife mobile app for iOS or Android to access your health records on the go.
