At University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC), every patient interaction matters—starting the moment someone walks through the front doors. That’s where the hospital’s dedicated information desk team steps in, providing the first point of contact for visitors and patients alike.
UMC recently recognized Claudia Gomez, an Information Desk Agent, for her welcoming presence and essential role in patient experience. As highlighted in a recent X post, Claudia is often “the first friendly smile” that patients see when arriving at the hospital.
The information desk team offers more than just directions—they provide reassurance, guidance, and support to every person navigating their way through the hospital. Their work ensures that visitors feel seen, supported, and less overwhelmed in what can sometimes be a stressful environment.
UMC expressed gratitude for Claudia and her colleagues, acknowledging “the patience and guidance” they share daily. Their presence is a vital part of UMC’s commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
