Early Detection Matters: Get Screened for Colorectal Cancer at UMC

UMC Staff

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about one of the most common cancers affecting both men and women in the United States. According to national health data, colorectal cancer ranks as the third most frequently diagnosed cancer for both sexes, making early detection and prevention critically important.

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is encouraging the community to take proactive steps by talking with their doctors and requesting a screening. The hospital highlights that one of the best defenses against colorectal cancer is a fast and convenient screening, which can help detect potential problems early, when they’re most treatable.

Screenings are available at UMC and can be scheduled here. During Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and every month, UMC is committed to supporting your digestive health and encouraging preventive care that saves lives.

Don’t wait. Talk to your doctor and take the first step in protecting your health.
