Every second counts in an emergency, and that’s a message that UMC is emphasizing this National Stop the Bleed Day. UMC is reminding the community that learning how to “Stop The Bleed” can make a lifesaving difference when someone is injured and losing blood.

It’s important to know what steps to take in a crisis. According to UMC, following the simple ABCs, Alert, Bleed, Compress, can help control bleeding until emergency help arrives. This knowledge can enable ordinary people to become first responders when tragedy strikes.

UMC wants everyone to be prepared, stating that understanding these techniques is a crucial skill that can aid in saving lives. Whether you’re a bystander, a family member, or a friend, you can make a significant, lifesaving contribution by acting quickly and effectively in a bleeding emergency.

This National Stop the Bleed Day, UMC stands by its community, offering education and guidance to help keep everyone safe.
