University Medical Center of El Paso is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its team at the UMC Main Campus and the UMC Surgical Hospital.

Recognized as the region’s highest-certified hospital, UMC is home to the area’s only Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospital is also the region’s first Level IV Maternal Care hospital and is designated as a certified Baby-Friendly hospital. These distinctions reflect UMC’s commitment to delivering advanced, high-quality care to the community.

Current RN Opportunities

Registered Nurse positions are available in several specialty areas, including:

  • Emergency
  • Endoscopy
  • Operating Room
  • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
  • Telemetry
  • Medical-Surgical

PRN opportunities are also available across units at the UMC Main Campus.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of RN experience in a hospital acute care setting
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (Associate Degree in Nursing may be considered)
  • Current RN license and CPR certification
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire for critical care areas
