The DAISY Award is a prestigious, international recognition presented to nurses who go above and beyond in delivering exceptional, compassionate care. These nurses were nominated by patients, families, and co-workers who witnessed their extraordinary dedication.
The award is presented by the non-profit DAISY Foundation, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away at age 33 from complications of an autoimmune disease. His family created this award to thank nurses for the outstanding care and kindness they provide every day.
We are deeply honored to have Mario, Lauren, and Alicia as part of UMC. Their unwavering compassion, clinical excellence, and commitment to patient care inspire us all.
